Storefront Overview

Your storefront is the customer-facing side of your Pyra account — an online store where customers browse your inventory, check availability, and place rental orders.

What is a storefront?

A storefront is a branded website that:

  • Displays your inventory catalog, organized by categories
  • Shows real-time item availability for selected dates
  • Lets customers add items to a cart and check out
  • Processes payments securely through Stripe
  • Sends order confirmations to you and the customer

Each organization gets one storefront with a unique URL (e.g., your-business.onpyra.com).

Setting up your storefront

  1. Go to Online Store in the sidebar
  2. If you don't have a storefront yet, click Create Storefront
  3. Choose a starting theme
  4. Set your storefront URL
  5. Click Publish to go live

What customers see

When customers visit your storefront, they can:

  1. Browse the catalog — view all available items, filter by category
  2. Check availability — select rental dates and see what's available
  3. View item details — see photos, descriptions, pricing, and specs
  4. Add to cart — select items and quantities for their rental period
  5. Check out — enter delivery/pickup details and pay securely
  6. Receive confirmation — get an email with order details

Customizing your storefront

Use the Theme Editor to customize your storefront's appearance:

  • Logo and branding — add your company logo and brand colors
  • Layout and sections — arrange content blocks on each page
  • Colors and fonts — match your storefront to your brand identity
  • Custom content — add text sections, banners, and announcements

Storefront settings

In Online Store > Settings, you can configure:

Publishing changes

When you make changes to your storefront through the theme editor, they are saved as a draft until you publish. This lets you preview changes before customers see them.

To publish:

  1. Make your changes in the theme editor
  2. Click Preview to review
  3. Click Publish to make the changes live

Password protection

You can password-protect your storefront during setup or when you want to restrict access:

  1. Go to Online Store > Settings
  2. Enable Password Protection
  3. Set a password
  4. Share the password with approved customers

This is useful for businesses that serve a closed network of clients.
