Quick Start Guide
Get your rental business online in five steps. This guide walks you through the essentials — from creating your account to receiving your first order.
Step 1: Create your account
- Go to onpyra.com and click Get Started
- Enter your business name, email, and password
- Verify your email address by clicking the link we send you
- Complete the setup wizard with your business details (address, phone, business type)
You can skip optional fields during setup and fill them in later from Settings.
Step 2: Add your inventory
Your inventory is what you rent out. Add items one at a time, or import in bulk from a spreadsheet.
Add a single item
- Go to Inventory in the sidebar
- Click Add Item
- Fill in the basics:
- Name — e.g., "20-Yard Dumpster" or "10x10 Pop-Up Tent"
- Daily rate — the rental price per day
- Quantity — how many you have available
- Category — select or create a category to organize it
- Click Save
Import from a spreadsheet
If you have many items, use the bulk import:
- Go to Inventory and click Import Items
- Upload a CSV file with columns for Name, Cost, Quantity, and Category
- Map your columns to Pyra fields
- Review and confirm the import
See Adding Items for detailed instructions.
Step 3: Set up your storefront
Your storefront is the online store where customers browse and order.
- Go to Online Store in the sidebar
- Click Create Storefront
- Choose a theme — you can customize it later
- Set your storefront URL (e.g.,
your-business.onpyra.com) - Click Publish to make it live
Your inventory items are automatically displayed on your storefront. Customers can browse, check availability, and place orders.
See Storefront Overview for more on customization.
Step 4: Configure checkout settings
Before accepting orders, review your checkout settings:
- Go to Settings > Payments
- Connect your Stripe account to accept payments
- Set your deposit and payment terms (pay now, pay on delivery, etc.)
- Configure your service area if you offer delivery
Step 5: Receive your first order
When a customer places an order through your storefront:
- You'll receive a notification (email and in-app)
- Go to Orders to review the new order
- Confirm the order to reserve the inventory
- Schedule delivery or notify the customer for pickup
- When the rental period ends, process the return
That's it — you're running a rental business on Pyra.
